Armani on Fifth Avenue

When I seen this store in New York it was sooo gorgeous! I seen the infamous stairs and according to WWD Collections Magazine it's reminiscent of the dinosaur skeletons in the American Museum of Natural History. The Dolci Bar b.k.a the Chocolate Bar was nice except for the prices! One piece of chocolate was $4 yes One piece! The restaurant prices were all right prices ranging from $15-$30, they do have lunch and dinner specials to.

On to fashion! i-D Magazine's new September issue have what I believe are the models of our future. Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dun, Arlenis Sosa, and Emma Summerton! I gotta get this issue of i-D it's like a collectors!

Smell like a Rockstar

Ok so next to nail polish I LOVE perfume! I am a perfume fanatic. So yes Avril Lavigne is coming out with a new perfume called Black Star. She reportedly requested the Eau de Parfum’s dark chocolate accord, which is combined with notes of pear, hibiscus flower, and black plum. Hmmm I'm trying to think how that will smell, most definite sweet. I will have to check this out myself and see. This perfume is being compared to Vera Wang's Princess (my current perfume) and Britney Spear's Fantasy (one of my favorites!). Unfortunatley they're saying her perfume can't compare though. So would you try this rockstar's perfume?

Kanye looks sooo great! This is like the perfect summer in the Hamptons look. The shoes are Creative Recreation's Turino Sneakers from the Spring 2009 Italian Collection. These shoes go for $389. Wow!

Why haven't I been informed?!?!

Why haven't I heard about Heatherette being no more?! I look for there latest collection and the latest is from last year! Apparently Richie Rich is doing his own thing in the fashion world and Traver Rains is no where to be found (not literally but figuratively). According to WWD.com "Heatherette, which Rich started with Traver Rains in 1999, lost its main backer, the Weisfeld Group, last year. Rich enjoyed a brief hiatus, recording a pop album, Celebutante (on which he sings, “I’ve been around the world and back”) and thinking about launching his own line. “I’m still very close to Traver, but it’s kind of like being in a band,” he jokes. “Now I’m a solo artist, like Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani.” Rich's collection is coming out this winter it will include ruffled silk chiffon and silk charmeuse dresses, gaudy lip prints, Keith Haring-inspired graphics and season-defying swimsuits in what Rich calls a “happy palette” of hot pink, neon yellow and robin’s egg blue. The show will also be the debut of sneakers Rich designed in collaboration with Vans. I cannot wait for this line to come out! Especially the sneakers! I loved Heatherette and I'm sure I will Love what Richie Rich will have to bring to the table.

House Of Jazmin

Jazmin Whitley, 20 years old, is a fashion designer of her own clothing line named Li Cari (meaning dear to your heart in Italian). She has her own show now on MTV called House Of Jazmin, it follows her fashion journey as she trys to break into the fashion world. I was impressed with her clothing line I would have to say. With inspiration from Ms. Gabriella Chanel herself she held her own with her Spring/Summer fashion show. It was good but it wasn't great, with time though I know she will improve (hopefully). At the end of the show though she got a call saying she got a call saying she will be able to show her collection in LA Fashion Week. Congrats! I'm loving this though. Young girls doing there thing in the fashion world at a young age! Such inspiration for me, to know that can be me eventually!

Sweet 16!

So here are some pictures of Biggie's daughter T'Yanna at her 16th birthday she looks cute and I love how she is showing love for her dad (who she looks just like!) on her dress. Is it just me though or does this dress remind you of Teyana Taylor's dress from her Sweet 16. No offense to T'Yanna but Teyana's dress looks better (by Heatherette). I don't think she cares because it looks like she had a great time though! What do you guys think? I just noticed there names are pronounced the same way but spelled differently. For performances though Kid Cudi performed at her party.

Jeans + Leggings= Jeggings

Basically jeggings are jeans that are basically tight enough to be leggings. I got a pair form Forever 21. Mines have pockets in the back so there not really leggings I guess, but thats what they called them! They do not have lot of stretch at all so it kinda sucks for curvy girls. There still kind of like skinny jeans to me though so it's not really a big deal. According to WWD "Legging jeans are moving to replace skinny styles as an increasing number of designers look for superstretchy denim beyond the 2 percent Lycra spandex that is the norm." So what do you think of this new trend?

Here is Beyonce chilling in West Village NYC. She is looking soo great in that polka dot romper with the sweetheart neckline. The Chanel belt was a great touch to the romper also. I'm not to thrilled about the hair though but I think that's just her natural hair. Yeah it does'nt look to great but every now and then you just gotta go au natural!

My Current Obsession #5

The Kardashian Sisters! I just love them so much even though they may act a fool often, I love how there so close to each other, they don't take crap from anyone, and they can dress there butts off! They also own two boutiques named Dash for women and Smooch for children. With Kourtney having a baby, Khloe losing 20 pounds (to me it wasn't really needed), and Kim dying her hair blonde you just have to try and keep up with these Kardashians!

Mariel Haenn

Rihanna, Lauren Conrad, Keri Hilson, Angela Simmons, and Vanessa Simmons. Some of my favorite fashionistas who have one thing in common, Mariel Haenn. This half Peurto Rican stylist has styled for these stars and many more. She has styled many looks for my favorite fashionista Rihanna and I have to say I am not totally dissapointed because Mariel has styled many other fashionistas and they have looked fabulous. So when we all say "Rihanna can't do wrong" we should really say "Mariel can't do wrong with helping Rihanna look fly". I just can't imagine how Mariel dresses on a day to day basis.

Old School Fashion Icons

Of course I had to put Audrey Hepburn! She had the greatest style and as a muse to Givenchy you know she was stylish! I loved her clothing in Breakfast at Tiffany's especially the infamous black dress, and the way her hair was always done. *Sigh* If only I could've met her!

As my favorite person from the brat pack Molly Ringwald was the best dressed. She had some great clothes in practically all her movies. From the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Pretty in Pink. Applauds to the costume designer of those movies!

Last but not least. Lisa Bonet b.k.a Denise Huxtable, I loved her style in the Cosby Show she took chances with her style and makeup and I LOVED her for that. Her style was basically fly when she was in high school and the early A Different World days. It seems like her daughter, Zoe Kravitz is following in the steps of her then fashionable mother so her fashion legacy lives on!

The Many Colors of Songie

So if you know me you know I LOVE nail polish! I have so many colors its crazy. Essie just debuted three new nail colors with the help of jewelry designer Judith Ripka. The three new colors hit salons and the web this month. There is Heart My JR Jewels, a dark-burgundy color that's a great alternative to black. The two other shades are a subtle blush pink named Put a Ripka Ring on It and a fire-engine red called Queen of Hearts. The polishes are supposedly infused with "diamond dust" for an extra-shimmery look, which is probably why they cost $15 each. I could see at least $10 for the polish but I will have to try it out myself. If the diamond dust really works then I will say it's worth the $15.

Moment of Flyness: Solange Knowles

Ok so I know when Solange first cut her hair I did not like it. I was wondering why did she do it! But in this picture she looks gorgeous! Whoever did her makeup did an EXCELLENT job and it shows off how pretty she really is without all her hair. Say it loud, say it proud Solange you are not your hair! If she continues to keep her makeup up like this she will get by just fine with shaved hair.

I am model. Hear me roar!

ANTM Cycle 13 girls revealed!

Courtney, 22, from Fort Lauderdale Florida, 5' 4". Theres just something unique about her that gives her potential to go far.
Lulu, 19, from Brooklyn New York, 5' 7". If you look at her she resembles Chanel Iman a little with the eyes. If they give her weave as a makeover Chanel will be looking at her twin when she guest judge. Hopefully Lulu will know how to use the eyes correctly and as Tyra says smile with her eyes. If she can get that down then she can take it!


So yes the top 14 five foot seven and under models are revealed for this season! I cannot wait to see how this goes. I'm happy Tyra is having "short" girls go out and try to be models. Here are my 2 favoites! Unfortunatley I can only find two girls I like, the girl above is my favorite. Maybe when they get there makeovers they will look a little better. So Kanye West isn't really an intern at the Gap, as rumored. "He’s not my intern!" Gap creative director Patrick Robinson explained. "He’s a friend of mine, and he just likes to see what we do. I tell him, if he wants people to take him seriously in fashion, they have to see blood first! They have to see the blood and the sweat, to see that he really wants it — but he definitely has the capability.” Even so, Robinson added, “I keep telling him he should stick to music." So i guess there will be no Kanye line for the Gap but can you imagine how much money they would make if he did?!
