Mr Year of The Gentleman

Ne-Yo, Ne-Yo, Ne-Yo. His style just makes me melt. I love his style it's like no other and the way he carries himself just makes his style so much better! In a USA Today interview Ne-Yo talks about his style saying "I always refer back to the days of the Rat Pack, because that's when I should have been around," Ne-Yo says, a little wistfully. "I know how to dress the part." This definitely explains his style which I admire to the fullest because not to many dudes dress like this anymore and I miss the days of guys wearing a suit just because. When he explains about being a gentleman he says "Being a gentleman isn't about what you wear; it's about how you wear it," he says. "You don't have to put on a three-piece suit. You can be a gentleman in jeans and a T-shirt — if the pants aren't sagging down, and the T-shirt isn't three sizes too big." What a man.

My Current Obsession: Melody Ehsani Rings

So I've been seeing these three finger rings around for a little while on such stars as Keri Hilson, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Diggy Simmons, and Angela Simmons. I automatically fell in love with these bad boys because they are so HOT! I definitely want one with my name on it for Christmas. Melody Ehsani is a super dope shoe and accessory designer. She says "My style is inspired by paradox, controversy, justice, and pushing the envelope in showing that you truly can't judge a book by it's cover" The three finger ring goes for $48.

Tall, Dark, and Stylish- The way I like my men!

Plein Fall 2009

Lets Get Something Clear

So Kanye West isn't really an intern at the Gap, as rumored. "He’s not my intern!" Gap creative director Patrick Robinson explained. "He’s a friend of mine, and he just likes to see what we do. I tell him, if he wants people to take him seriously in fashion, they have to see blood first! They have to see the blood and the sweat, to see that he really wants it — but he definitely has the capability.” Even so, Robinson added, “I keep telling him he should stick to music." So i guess there will be no Kanye line for the Gap but can you imagine how much money they would make if he did?!

Harvard + Fashion=?????

So word has it that Harvard is starting a new men's line called Harvard Yard. The university has a ten-year licensing deal with clothing manufacturer Wearwolf Group for a line of contemporary men's apparel. The line includes "short-sleeve plaid shirts, Liberty print wovens, seersucker shorts, regimental stripes, sporty knits, patterned jackets and fancy pants — all in a contemporary, tapered fit," according to WWD. Prices range from $165 for pants to $495 for sport coats. (Wow! Do they not know we are in a recession?!) The line's creative director, John Fowler, told WWD that designers drew from photos of students lounging in Harvard Yard in the sixties. “It’s a style that has become current again and not just with the American consumer. We think Harvard Yard will have global appeal.” I think it's great were they drew inspiration from because that style is coming back but the prices they may need to cut back. Rich or not, rich people are cutting back to. I guess if a celebrity wants to buy this stuff they can. Besides price this line looks like it will be nice though. I wonder were did Harvard get the idea of just starting a line from?
