Rihanna Why?!?!?!?!?

My favorite fashionista Rihanna has done (to me) one of the biggest fashion no-no's any girl can do, she wore pasties! :( I don't know why but for the fourth of July she just decided to let it all out! To make myself happy I am going to put some of my favorite looks from her up here. Little secret the blue Zac Posen dress Rihanna wore to the grammy's inspired my Senior Prom dress.

Things for Fashion Lovers 2 do in NY!

Hello! I'm heading back home (New York) on Wednesday and I was thinking about some of the things I'm going to do while I'm up there. Of course check out the great stores (which are becoming tourist sites in itself!) But checking out some museums and restaurants. Let me start with the stores like Armani on 5th Avenue the store is 43,000 square feet of Doriana Fuksas-designed glass structure housing all 6 of his collections. InStyle magazine listed 6 surprises you will find at this store. 1) There is a chocolate department. 2) There is a restaurant and bar on the top floor. 3) The staff speaks a combined 20 languages! 4) The store offers concierge services. 5) The most expensive item is a crocodile messenger bag for $38,000 (geez!) 6) They have a floating staircase that is made of steel and whit plastic! Now museums, The Metropolitan Museum of Art has an exhibit called The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion. It focuses on iconic models of the twentieth century and their roles in projecting, and often inspiring, the fashion of their eras. The exhibition, organized by historical period from 1947 to 1997, will feature haute couture and ready-to-wear masterworks accompanied by fashion photography and video footage of models. Another exhibit you can check out for free is the museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I can't wait to New York to check these places out and many more!

Some of ya'll may have heard and some of ya'll may have not but Vogue is making a documentary about there infamous September issue, the largest issue that Vogue publishes each year! It all started September 2007 with there issue weighing nearly 5 pounds! I can't imagine how much fashion was in that one issue! The documentary the September issue follows the Vogue team and we'll see how the issue is made. Wsj.com said that fashion greats such as Andre Leon Talley, Grace Coddington, Thakoon Panichgul, Karl Lagerfeld, Vera Wang and Mario Testino are to appear in the documentary. I CANNOT wait to see this movie! It premiered January 16th, 2009 but it is premiering to the US August 28th, 2009. The film is already winning awards. The End of Vibe Magazine

Vibe magazine is ending after 16 years. Unfortunately they had some financial troubles. Steve Aaron, Vibe Media’s chief executive officer, said the inability to receive additional financing to “restructure the huge debt on our small company” and the collapse of fashion, automotive and multicultural advertising were the main reasons for the magazine’s collapse. If you are an avid reader of the magazine you probably noticed the decrease of the magazine. The magazine started in 1993 by Quincy Jones and had a spin-off magazine called Vibe Vixen (that did not last to long, folded in 2007). I remember Vibe being one of the biggest hip hop magazines out there! Now it is being taken away from our African American generation! What a shame, people from Justin Timberlake, to T.I., and even President Barack Obama appeared on the cover of Vibe magazine. So will you miss Vibe magazine? Comment in the comment section below!
